Parents forcing cultural and religious stuff
So my parents kinda hate and love me at the same time ... they love me cause i have always been getting good grades scince i was a child and never asked for anything expensive or never been a rebel yk the "typical good girl nerd " who never gets to do anythingwhat others did at that age, but now have started hating me cause i have started standing up for my self and rebelling against thing i actually dont like and dont feel like doing.
I am an "Agnostic" person , and used to follow all religious stuff only for my parents. Until i realised that just because i listen too them they have started forcing me to follow certain stuff. A lot many things are being forced but my main concern now is....
My father forces me to wear a bindi in every fucking outfit i wear, its not that i dont like wearing bindi, i love wearing it, i wear it for all traditional clothes or even short kurti..... that should be my choice.. but anyways.... then once i started saying no he shouts at me or starts telling me the science behind it and why people actually wear it...He tells me that i look like a beggar or a Muslim if i dont wear it... but if i listen and wear it he always comments that its too small so he asks my mom to make it bigger and then she makes it really big 😓 ...What nonsense yaar..
So.. can someone please.... give an valid reply that i can give to my dad for this ... cause every time he does this i either end up listening or endup failing to give a valid response...
My parents ask me to do fasts for god, prayer everyday, they also send me prayer and religious camps before ....... and for all of this i never decline... because i do it for them ... because they belive in god..
But i belive that i should have the freedom to decide whether to wear a bindi or not ....
Why are women always expected to continue the religious part in the society... ?Now listen to my dad ... and then listen to my husband after getting married....whyy?
