FIRST TIME PLAYER..

Hi all,

I’m of a console gamer and always worried my old ass gaming laptop couldn’t play any games (I don’t know specs or all that stuff because the one and only game I play on my laptop is Football Manager)

I’ve known about PZ for ages and always loved the idea of it - the art style, music, coziness, scariness and overall zombie survival game with crafting and combat with endless hours of fun.

I was scrolling through Twitch the other night and seen it had 60k+ players then found out it was due to a massive update. First one in a while I believe so I’m guessing a lot of returning players and new players.

Bought it this morning on Steam and hooked it up to my monitor and wireless keyboard and mouse and ran through the tutorial, cheers by the way for making me eat a rat and killing my family. LOL.

I was worried my old trusty laptop wouldn’t take it but it seemed to run absolutely fine.

Starting my first real ‘playthrough’ ‘life’ ‘story’ ‘run’ what do you guys call it? Later on but I have a few questions..

- Is the best way to go into it vanilla first then look at mods after 10-15 hours?

- I would only be playing solo so I’m assuming QoL mods are essential and make the game easier and smoother?

- Is it a long process to learn the game from scratch?

- I’m assuming dying is literally part of the game so I know straight away not to get attached to a character?

- Any tips/tricks/hints for a beginner?
