Wandsworth Park from the Thames

I saw Wandsworth Park from the river today. The plane trees were bright yellow-green where the sun caught their tops, though the grass below had been baked almost to straw. Two people dressed in white were standing by the fence, not appearing to do much at all, and one gull drifted along the brown Thames, closer to me than any of them.
