Hello everyone, we’re I Rose From The Dead and our new full-length album ‘A Haunted House for All to See’ will be releasing via Arson Theory on October 8th.
We’re inspired by Stray From The Path’s politics and presentation of leftist ideology- Knocked Loose + Boundaries’s riffs, breakdowns, word choice and lyrical delivery- and Ice Nine Kills + Motionless in White’s horror atmosphere.
This album intended to be an ugly mirror of what the right has done to our lives, livelihoods and communities. Each song uses a different horror property/ IP as allegory for a sociopolitical issue that affects everyone today.

Track 1, Nosferatu (ft. HAUNTER) is about Trump’s election and his taking of office. It’s based on Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu, which is a remake of the original 1922 Classic. Making this track based on a remake is fitting, because Trump’s election WAS a repeat of the past, and is similar to how Hitler took power. Trump IS Count Orlok, putting a shadowy hand over the land and effecting everyone with a dark plague, reaping from our homes.
Track 2, White Hand (Featuring Post Traumatic) is a track based on the White Hand creepypasta based on the old pokemon games and a lead-in to ghost on tape. It’s a declaration that the people in power will be eventually haunted by the ghosts and angry spirits they create with their bombs.
Track 3, Ghost on Tape is a personified threat by an angry spirit to those in power, and we used ‘The Ring’ or ‘Ringu’ as inspiration for this track. It calls out the genocidal and pedophilic actions of the Israeli government and the American government and declares that the ghost will make them pay for what they’ve done.

Track 4, American Home Broadcasting System. MP3 Is based on the Mandela Catalogue. It’s a song about mass surveillance and that data being sold to corporations, DHS, ICE, and our government. We compare those entities to Alternates in The Mandela Catalogue because while they may look like us, they want to exterminate and subjugate those who do not look like them. It’s an incredibly inhuman trait and it’s perfect to compare them to alternates who are almost human, but no matter how hard they try to be like you, they are still demons.

Track 5, In This House is based on Skinamarink. It’s a condemnation of mainstream media peddling systemic racism, violence and oppression through the screen and through a vast, bought and paid for capitalist media ecosystem. We personify Jesse Watters as an evil, demonic entity that is hellbent on twisting truth in order to make violence acceptable. This song was born when ICE murdered Renee Good and Alex Pretti in cold blood.
Track 6, Bathsheba (Ft. Joseph Coleman) is based on The Conjuring and is about age-old systemic racism infecting our nation, like the demon Bathsheba from the film. There are themes of attempting to exorcise the demon but to no avail, and how racism affects us even generations in the future and causes instability and division at the societal level.
Track 7, Paranormal Activity is about the genocide in Gaza. It compares Paranormal Investigators to journalists in Gaza witnessing horrors beyond belief.

Track 8, Remove Thy Shift is based on the film ‘The Witch’ and it’s about how Christianity is used to reinforce patriarchy. The film alludes to Satan representing sexual freedom and liberation from societal standards, so that’s exactly what we did with the track. Christianity is extremely harmful to Women’s rights and reinforces the most misogynistic ideas and we touch on this in the song. The song encourages women to embrace and fight for their autonomy hence ‘Remove thy Shift’.

Track 9, The Man With Fire is about the uncertainty of what we’re going to go through next as a nation. It’s based on the film ‘Insidious’ and during the film, dalton is trapped in the further with The Man With Fire on his Face and he’a chained in an unfamiliar realm, all while he thinks he’s dreaming. We’re going through something similar now, as we’ve seen so many horrors come out of the Trump admin regarding our ties to the Israeli government, economic instability, and the fear of not knowing what horror lies around the corner for us- whether it be another person shot or another war started.
Track 10, ‘A Haunted House for All to See’ is about the revelations of the Epstien files and victims and how it’s affected our country for decades, him having ties with the Israeli government, and the harm of children- and how our own government not only condones it, but supports it at the structural level.
It’s the darkest track on the record and it’s based on the film ‘Sinister’ and uses the imagery of children and families being murdered on tapes that have been hidden for years as a perpetual cycle directly reflects what we’ve seen from the people in power- and how they control us. We compare Epstien to the demon Bahgul from the film, calling him a master pulling all of the strings- and a demon wearing human skin.
Even the album art itself is very intentional. It’s a warped, disgusting mirror of an American “nuclear family”, happy outside of their home, with an American flag in the yard. The American flag is untouched and clean, but the house is decayed, the walls smell of rot, and the family-eyeless, decaying, disgusting zombies- slaves to the horrifying demon that has them wrapped around his fingers.
