FIFA 17 Vanilla or FIFA 16 with Infinity Mod?

After being disappointed with FC25, I skipped FC26 and hesitant to buy FC27.

I mainly play on PC and have started playing FIFA17 career mode - I am loving it.

I have seen hype for 17 and I've also seen hype for FIFA16 with mods, should I take the effort to install everything or is it no better than running 17?

Any other FIFA's I should revisit?
