back to breast or initiate come to take breast

Support Needed

FTM, almost 11 weeks pp.

baby latched a little bit at the hospital, then under pressure of my parents and their obsession with food, we introduced bottle at three days old for my LO.

I kept attempting giving him the breast but he was frustrated (he was even before introduction to bottle, my milk took 5 days ISH to come in).

i have a low supply and I need to supplement my baby. I think I make around 17 Oz and baby drinks double that (he's been a big eater since birth).

I currently exclusively pump, but it's in my heart to have baby latch and I know I have not tried hard as when I see LO crying and being upset when I offer the breast it breaks my heart so I mostly never do it.

when I pump I spend the time reading ways to start this process, because let's be honest it is not even being back to breast as he never really was there.

I have made some many mistakes at the beginning with him, like not doing enough skin to skin due to my parents being here with us (I live abroad), them wanting to have baby, them pushing for bottle. I was exhausted from the rough (for me at least) birth, not having reasted at all before my water broke (I worked up till week 39+0 and he came 39+4). I was a wreck.

So what I am asking here is has anyone been through this and successful? what did you do considering my baby is already kinda almost away from the new born phase. Or if you like me had this and gave up, how did you do it?

pumping is destroying me physically and emotionally, but deep down my heart hopes baby will latch at some point on the future and I would be amazing if I still had some milk.

thank you for all the support.
