Storage performance requirements? (Dedicated HDD scratch disc?)
After dealing with my sons PC barfing because Medal filled his C:\ (whoops) I've shown him how to move the storage directory to his D:\. Immediate problem sorted.
Now I'm looking at a pile of old spinning rust in the cupboard and wondering if one of those would make a suitable Medal scratch disc?
Memory is not an issue, system was built in the days when you could find 64Gb down the back of the couch. How well will Medal deal with HDD performance where multitasking sucks and single write threads might dip as low as 70MBps?
