Positivity: The quiet majority is a respectable player base
I love to see all the complaining and drama and the frustration that this game brings to some of you at times, every Killer is an ahole and should be nerfed, survivors are all toxic etc. etc.
I even see people saying DBD is more toxic than CS lobbys.
But I know the quiet majority that is not trashing the other playerbase, you see they try their best in game to make the rounds honorable games, Killers and Survivors.
I see rounds where Survivors realizing a Killer is new and got completely burned
but then prompting him to get them all dead on hook before they escape.
I see so many people lose in a frustrating fashion and still got the courage to type ggs before they leave or don't vent and accept frustrating rounds as part of the game.
How many times do we not realize that Killers initially discover a dead-on-hook player and try to find a reason to go after something else?
In most games, any side will not grant the other one a break. They are pretty balanced in what you have to do and what you can do. In DBD every round is different, luck is a factor in this game.
In fact in a shooter you probably would've said "Oh this was luck there", but here luck has more weight but most people accept it as it is.
So by the dynamics of the game, that are uncomparable in the style of frustration we encounter, I must say I think it's a very grounded player base.
Most people I play on the official discord with they might complain but max at a playful level.
I realized by playing swfs how many people are just trolling in the end chat but actually think "ggs" in their heart. But as a killer on the other side you would just think what an ahole.
So all of that just to say: If you got the impression the player base is toxic: the quiet majority in itself and the voluntary contribution in-game to a good round is proof that this is one of the best player bases of bigger games their are.
