AITAH for telling my friend I don't want to plan her wedding anymore?
My friend asked me to help plan her wedding because she said she trusted my organization skills. I was happy to help at first because we've been friends for years and I wanted her day to be special. The problem is that over the last few months, it has turned into a second job. I'm constantly being asked to contact vendors, compare prices, make schedules, and solve problems. She often changes her mind after I've already spent hours working on something. Last week, I told her I needed to step back and that I could still support her as a friend, but I couldn't be responsible for so much of the planning anymore. She got upset and said she thought I was doing this because I cared about her. She also said she feels like I'm abandoning her when she needs me most. I do care about her and I want her wedding to go well, but I feel like I became an unpaid wedding planner instead of a friend. AITAH for stepping away from helping with her wedding?
