What would you tell Cycle #1 You?
Hello!
I'm going to apologize for my rambling and bad punctuation right off the bat, I love a run on sentence. So to save you from that TLDR: successful parents and parents who have been trying for a while what advice do you have for someone who is trying for the first time?
My partner (M30) and I (F26) are trying for a baby for the first time. I'm feeling some anxiety about it being a difficult process for us. I've had a miscarriage in the past, my cycles have always been unusual, I've spent more of my life on birth control than off etc. etc. and every time I delve into the ttc community or read the articles it begins feeling discouraging.
I have a hard time not overthinking EVERYTHING and I feel that it's difficult to sit here and read about how many years it takes many people and being told I need 700 different products to succeed and I need to lose x amount of weight and that I need to plan around a 28 day cycle but oop only 17% of people actually have a 28 day cycle so you better ovulation test constantly to find your perfect window but now normal ovulation tests aren't good enough and I need a $300 device to test other hormones and I need to wake up in the middle of the night to take my temperature. You get the picture? I'm a mess lol
So the real question I have is what would you tell yourself if you could go back and talk yourself during or before Cycle #1?
