AUSTRIA Trip September 2026

Hello everyone,

Me and my husband (both in our 40s, no kids) are traveling throughout Austria for 12 day from the middle to end of September 2026 and would love some recommendations. We are big foodie people and want to avoid tourist traps restaurants at all cost, so all true food enthusiast recommendations are welcome and appreciated.

We are down for all experiences for amazing food from Michelin star to small family run restaurants to street eats, we love it all!

Our trip itinerary begins in Wien, we then drive to Graz for a couple of days, then Mühlbach am Hochkönig for a couple days, then Mösern near Seefeld for a few days and end in Salzburg for a couple days.

We will have a car the whole time once we leave Wien so getting around will not be a problem.

* still need a great places for desserts like Apfelstrudel, Punschkrapfen, Polsterzipf, etc

We are also interested in art, fashion and architecture, nature, history and vintage/antique furniture and home decor. We are also very open to interesting more off the radar recommendations for things to do in the mentioned regions, especially outside Wien.
