Would you buy a Tata Nexon CNG over a Brezza CNG just because it’s ₹80k cheaper and far better equipped?

I’ve been going back and forth for weeks and can’t seem to make a decision.

I’m getting:

  1. Tata Nexon Pure+ S CNG – ₹10.4 lakh OTR (Delhi)
  2. Maruti Brezza VXI CNG – ₹11.2 lakh OTR (Delhi)

My running isn’t very high, so I know many people will ask why I’m considering CNG in the first place. The main reason is the uncertainty around the future of ethanol-blended petrol. I’ve also always owned CNG cars, and I absolutely love the peace of mind. Fuel expenses are almost an afterthought—my CNG car is literally cheaper to run than my RE Classic 350.

Here’s where I’m stuck.

My heart says Brezza.
I genuinely love how it looks from the outside. I also know Maruti ownership is usually hassle-free, parts are easily available, resale is strong, and service is generally predictable.

But after paying ₹11.2 lakh, it still misses features that I feel should be standard at this price:

• Auto-fold ORVMs
• LED headlights
• Reverse camera
• Front armrest

The cabin also feels quite plain and doesn’t really give that ₹11 lakh feeling.

Then there’s the Nexon.
For ₹80k less, it feels like a much more premium car inside. The dashboard, materials, and overall cabin experience are on another level.

It also comes with features like:
• 10.25-inch better quality infotainment screen
• rear camera
• Auto-fold ORVMs
• Rain-sensing wipers
• Automatic and Led headlight
• Overall better feature list

Every time I sit in it, it feels like the better value proposition.

The only thing that’s holding me back is Tata’s reputation for after-sales service and QC.

I’ve read countless posts about poor service experiences, unresolved niggles, inconsistent build quality, and long workshop visits. At the same time, there are owners who say they’ve had zero issues, so it’s hard to know what to believe.

If you had to choose between these two, what would you do?

Would you sacrifice features for the peace of mind that comes with the Brezza, or take the chance on the Nexon because it offers so much more for less money?

I’d especially appreciate responses from people who have owned either of these cars for a year or more. What has your ownership experience actually been like?
