What duties/responsibilities would you expect from the role of a "maintenance officer"

My current job title is "maintenance officer" and the area of work would be very similar to a school or university campus. We do have an EBA but the duties listed for the role "maintenance officer" are almost non existent.

The company is requesting more and more complex work but are not willing to pay higher wages.

I'm interested to hear what duties you would associate WITH this job title and what duties you would NOT expect from them.

For example you would expect them to fix a hole in a wall, right? but it would be unreasonable to request that they rebuild the entire wall including the framing, sheeting, plastering, painting and trim? surely this would be considered tradesmen/skilled work?
