When did unexpected expenses stop feeling like a financial emergency for you?
I had an unexpected expense recently, and it made me think about how differently I reacted compared to a few years ago.
There was a time when even a 10k - 15k expense would completely throw off my monthly budget. I'd spend the next few weeks trying to make up for it.
This time it was still annoying, but I did not panic. I think that's less about earning more and more about slowly building better financial habits over the years.
It made me wonder if there's a point where this happens for most people, or if money stress just changes as our responsibilities grow.
For those who've been working for a while, when did you notice that shift?
Or do unexpected expenses still make you rethink your monthly budget?
