A months weeks ago, a person from Jharkhand reached out to me on Facebook. He was frustrated because of two reasons 1. Non availability of multiple Public Charger and 2. two BPCL public EV chargers at Neel Kamal Automobiles & Subarnarekha Automobiles, Jamshedpur had been non-functional for a long time.

Instead of just saying “someone should do something,” I drafted and filed a complaint on the PG Portal. I followed up, escalated it properly, and waited.
Today, I received the official reply.

**Result: Both BPCL chargers have been repaired, restored, and are now operational for public use.**

The response confirms that the necessary technical rectification has been completed and both chargers are back in service. BPCL has also stated that it will continue monitoring the installations to minimize downtime.
For many people, this may look like just two chargers. But for EV owners who rely on public charging, this can mean the difference between completing a journey or getting stranded. What makes me happiest is that I don’t even know this person personally. A random Facebook message led to a real-world outcome that will benefit hundreds, if not thousands, of EV users over time.

This is something I try to do every week. I look for issues affecting local people, public infrastructure, or places where I feel the government or public authorities should pay attention. If it’s a genuine issue, I register a grievance on the PG Portal and follow it through. Not every complaint gets resolved immediately, but every genuine complaint has the potential to improve things for everyone.

Sometimes we assume government systems don’t work. My experience has been that if you submit a well-documented grievance through the proper channel and follow up patiently, things do get resolved.

Small effort. Real impact.

If you’ve come across a broken public EV charger or any other public issue, don’t just post about it on social media. Report it to the concerned authority and, if needed, escalate it through the PG Portal. You might end up making life easier for hundreds of people you will never even meet.
This is exactly why I enjoy doing it. One complaint, one improvement at a time.
