Relation between me(26M) and best friend(27F) is escalating

I (26M) have know my best friend (27F) for about 10 years. During that time she has always had a boyfriend. Now her realtionship of 8 years has ended and ever since then our relation has escalated for about 2 months. It started with kissing, than sexting and a few days ago she came to my house and we did a few things (no sex). We told each other it's just lust and no feelings and a relationship will not happen. I've also told her I will not iniciate any of it since I want her to feel save when meeting me and not worry about a hidden agenda.

Every part of the way I've voiced my doubts about how this will influence our friendship. This will result in us setting boundries after wich she texts me again and the cycle repeats. I know it is also my fault for no saying no but in the moment I find it very difficult. Now I have voiced my doubts again the day after she came to my house and I get the feeling she's become more distant all of a sudden. I am just do afraid of losing her but I feel things have already gone to far. I've tried to talk with her in the past few days but she seems to actively dodge these conversations.

I just want my best friend back. Any idea how to handle this? Do I text her? Do I distance myself and give her time?
