Anyone else moving from Playwright scripts to LLM-friendly browser tools?
I've noticed my browser automation stack has changed quite a bit over the last few months.
A year ago, almost everything I built was Playwright scripts. They worked well, but every new workflow meant writing and maintaining more code.
Now, with OpenCode CLI and coding agents, I've been experimenting with tools like WebCmd that expose browser actions as commands the agent can call instead of generating browser logic from scratch.
It feels like a better fit for agent workflows because the following are true:
- the browser actions are more deterministic,
- I can combine them with shell/API commands.
- and the agent spends less time "figuring out" what to click.
Curious what everyone else is using
Interested in hearing what's been the most reliable in real-world use rather than demos.
