At what age are you allowed to start complaining that pints are too expensive without someone calling you old before your time?

I'm in my early twenties and last weekend I heard myself say.. how much?? out loud at the bar, unprompted, like a man of 58. My friends laughed at me but not one of them disagreed with the sentiment.

Asking seriously, is there an official age where this stops being embarrassing and starts being character. And what was the price of a pint when you started moaning about it, I want to feel worse
