My new travel case smells abnormally

Hi guys

A bit weird post, but here goes nothing. Maybe someone can help me.

I bought a spigen rugged armor pro travel case for the steam deck - since I saw somewhere that it fits the Claw 8 perfectly. Which it does.

HOWEVER, the case just stinks. The material smells so strong (new, fabricky smell, so not moldy or anything). You can't keep the case in the same room with you.

I had it outside for a couple days now, and now I've thrown it into my storage room. I cannot imagine keeping my device longer than 5 minutes in this case or else I'm afraid it will keep this smell on it too.

Any ideas?
