Gonna be honest about Jennie
So I saw her and like everybody has probably concluded from the posts, it wasn't the best set of the day.
I wish that she could've done less of the 'dancing' and sung more of the songs with a mic stand instead. Her voice genuinely sounded good in tracks like Less Than A Lover and Handlebars, where she moved less and focused on singing with the backtrack lowered.
She could've just saved the choreo for some tracks in between the set so that she could actually deliver the dance with more energy.
About the backtrack loudness, I understand that it was loud because she is not a powerhouse so the vocals would've just come out shaky if she tried to dance along with it, but she should just save that for some tracks instead of the majority of the set.
I enjoyed parts of the set, the production was great, her presence seemed charismatic for the most part. I just hope that she or her team does better with the arrangement of her set to suit it to her ability. She wasn't lipsyncing for the most part, the backtrack was just drowning her voice in the tracks. A similar case to Giselle (aespa), her mic feed was lowered too much relative to the group, for some reason.
Also the unreleased tracks sounded good, so I'm looking forward to the upcoming releases.
