I can't believe SlideJot has hit 70 releases.

It's one of the apps I use most on my Mac. From day one, my philosophy for it has been simple: build the app I want to use. Even if I were the only user in the world, it'd still be worth the time to polish it.

What makes me really happy is that it's not just me — there are people out there who genuinely love this app and use it every day. Two of them deserve a special shoutout.

[Michael Marshall Smith](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Marshall_Smith) \- I never expected that a well-known British novelist would become a SlideJot user. Here's what he wrote about it in an email to me:

>***I've tried pretty much all the slide-in-note apps and yours feels like easily the best fit for me. That hover-for-index feature in particular is great.***

And u/Moustachey, who has sent me a ton of feature requests — a lot of what's in SlideJot today came straight from him (Thank you!).

Honestly, sometimes I'm a little scared to open Reddit, because chances are there's already another feature request from u/Moustachey sitting in my DMs (Just kidding ❤️).

Oh, one more thing.

The SlideJot iOS app is out, and it's completely free. So if you just want SlideJot on your iPhone/iPad, you don't have to pay anything.

That’s all — thanks for reading!

After 70 releases of SlideJot for Mac, I made a second demo video. Oh, and a free iOS app.
