Matt was your stereotypical nerd. You know the type: constantly playing online games, or building models from Warhammer, researching random and niche topics for no apparent reason, constantly reading comic books or debating others online about all sorts of varied and niche topics, and often spending time gooning over all sorts of women online. It was becoming an increasingly-common theme of discussion at the weekly book club and boardgame nights, often not even brought up by Lucy at all. Ideas, suggestions and jokes were all made in equal measure, especially when the state of his basement bedroom was mentioned. But, despite it all, Matt continued to drift through the months with nothing much to show for it.
