How true is it that if a family member dies their kids can receive part of an estate that the deceased might receive?

Wills Trusts and Estates

Location: Maine .

So recently I've been told by some guy who started coming around out of the woodwork messaging me and a couple of my relatives on Facebook He's supposed to be a family friend that I would have to give an inheritance to a dead relative children or at least part of it and he seems to be quoting a law from the state of New Hampshire He keeps sharing an article and he's done this with several people and it does not even say it's the state of Maine. It says New Hampshire clear as day at the top In the article he passes around says it's from some health group that provides insurance in the state of New Hampshire doesn't really make a lot of sense.

Now this guy is not an attorney in any way It's like he's just saying things and repeating himself to get people going It's like he's spewing bullshit to piss people off and I'm sure even in New Hampshire, if a person legally has rights to a property and they don't want to move, there's nothing anyone can do. So even if what the guy was saying was true in most states You can't force a person to move or sell if it's their property and they don't want to.

I believe this individual is referring to my brothers kids however, I know that they want nothing to do with coming out here and living here so that wouldn't happen and I do not have to sell.

I mean that's nice of a guy to suggest that someone would have to sell their property and become homeless just to give it away to other people I don't think It really makes sense.

It's bad enough I have lived at the residence for 20 years and now have to split it with another sibling already by the time everyone's done grabbing from the estate, won't be any money to start over or have a new life.
