Growing a family in apartments long-term- any suggestions?
We are a family of 4. 2 kids aged soon to be 3yr old son and an 8 month old daughter.
We have lived in NSW for almost 10years now and honestly have grown to the place we currently reside. In my head i feel, 2 kids, I need at bare minimum 3 bed unit as a long term home. However, I am open to idea of forst 10 year in 2 bedder and then upgrading to 3 when capable.
I just wanted to know if someone has gone a long time growing a family of similar number of people or more in an apartment and what were the biggest cons of that experience.
One example I was suggested was, having a decently sized 2 bed will always be better than a tight 3 bes rooms.
This questions probably gets asked a lot in here, but I didnt find similar circumstances to research and compare. So any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Also; is it true that in terms of your costs outside your mortage like strata, insurance etc, from a long term perspective as long as we avoid high rise building and expensive strata:
the upfront cost of having a house + maintenance, insurance and those ofher costs will always be higher in grand scheme of things?
