Two recent cases have drawn attention to allegations of violent crimes involving fiancés, though both remain **subject to investigation and trial**.

In the **Ketan Agarwal case**, police allege that his fiancée, **Siya Goyal**, conspired with another man and lured Ketan to **Lohagad Fort**, where he was allegedly pushed into a gorge. The investigation is ongoing.

In a separate case from **Giridih, Jharkhand**, police allege that **Urmila** was in a relationship with her brother-in-law, **Subhash Paswan**. Investigators claim that despite her marriage being fixed with **20-year-old Neeraj Hazra**, she did not call off the wedding. Instead, police allege the two accused lured Neeraj to **Bela forest**, fatally attacked him, and abandoned his body. Both accused have been arrested, and police state that they have recovered weapons and vehicles allegedly used in the crime.

These are **police allegations** and have not yet been proven in court. The accused are presumed innocent unless proven guilty.

The cases nevertheless highlight an important principle:

**Every person has the right to refuse or end a relationship or marriage. No one has the right to resort to violence to escape a relationship or resolve a personal conflict.**

**Where allegations of homicide arise, they must be investigated thoroughly and judged on evidence. Every victim deserves justice, and every accused deserves a fair trial.**
