Is it ok to leave someone because you want to stop hating them

My ex-friend has done wrong to me, alot and i feel hurt by it, even if its was very long ago (from 2025 august till February 2026) but to be honest ive done wrong to him also, although i think hes worse on me

I started hating him last month, for what hes done, but i dont wanna hold a grudge on him, so i left him, thing is however he is lonely, he only has one friend left but that doesn't justify his past actions, so am i wrong for leaving him ?
