passed at 150! yey
Hi everyone!
I just passed my NCLEX. I told myself that I would share everything as a person who gets overwhelm on what resources to use & how to study.
I started using bootcamp because that is what everyone had been using & i just felt overwhelm by my scores because it was all borderline. I was barely studying their cheatsheets & watching videos because it just won't absorb me. Though, I still continue using it for a month, I told myself I had to find another way to learn because Bootcamp wasn't helping at all, FOR ME.
I tried the 7-Day Crusade videos also but it didn't stick to me at all because I was just not fond of studying so much anymore & i ended up forgetting about it (it's a me- problem)
I tried Mark K. Videos but my attention span can't take it so i stopped listening to it, the #12 though, kinda helped since its more on the test taking strategy.
When I was told about NAXLEX, I tried its free trial of 14 days. It hooked me up, the rationale was easier for me to understand as a person who is a slow learner and needs 2x refreshed without feeling overwhelmed by it. The tutored CAT helped but some rationale don't really matched so it is kinda up to you on how to get the right answer. The Readiness exam was also the best because it made me realize how vague the questions are but so difficult. It was also computer adaptive so the questions are not redundant.
NAXLEX, for me, helped my overwhelmed self in terms of studying and answering 150 questions per day and reading the rationale whole day. Sometimes, I reach 300 if I ever want to get a better scores.
The best thing before I took my actual NCLEX since I purchased the Gold Premium was the actual computer adaptive test that is VERY SIMILAR WITH NCLEX way of asking questions and its interface. It helped my confidence while answering the actual exam, however, because of its difficulty and confusing answers, i always boil down to 2 choices.
Nonetheless, because I didn't learn much about content but more on test taking, my confidence about content question was low, although, i just hoped for the best with my answer, i still know a little things.
On the day of the exam, I was already mentally preparing myself for 150 questions but I was kinda still hoping for 85. Therefore, when # 86 came, my brain panicked but i was still able to calm down. However, it made me want to puke all over the computer because i was terrified. Thanks Heaven that I was able to overcome it.
My success story may be the same as the others but, it is important to find the right resources that works for you and not just stick to one because for me, a good resources might be the best thing u could ever ask for.
NCLEX is by far my hardest exam I've taken but if i can, you can too.
