19M, standing at crossroads. Commerce vs tech field.
Currently I have completed my BBA 1st year.
I took commerce in 11th because of low marks in 10th. My family wanted me to become a CA that's why I had to choose BBA to accompany it.
After enough convincing, I was able to drop CA and to make up for it I decided I'll pursue CPA.
The thing is, I've always had technical and artistic interests since childhood. I was very curious and learned bits of stuff from here and there all the time.
Some of them include:
Coding, reverse engineering, digital art, blender skills, etc.
In short, I've always been close to PC and Tech in general. Also, I'm a gamer if it helps.
My precious plan was to pursue CPA such that I can fulfill my family's wishes and get a stable and high paying career in accountancy. (my family background also consists of accounting and business).
But with all of my interests in mind, I wanna get into the tech field, so I planned to switch over to BCA.
But after researching I found out that BCA is a pretty worthless degree unless I have good skills and make good projects.
Now I'm stuck at a crossroad, before the next college year starts, I need to decide whether I should do CPA and get into the accounting field (which is not bad at all, and I don't really hate accounting too, but I feel like I would waste my technical and artistic curiosity and interests).
or I can take a gamble, switch over to BCA and work really hard to sharpen my skills and build good projects. (One of my dreams is to develop an emulator and also crack Denuvo)
I'm not sure what to do.. Would someone be willing to help me out?
