The hypocrisy of both the left and the right when it comes to protecting women.

The connonisation of Glen Hansard last week despite multiple reports from women that he was fairly lax on the age of consent and openly admitting how he fell in love with his Once co-star shows that in reality people do not give a fuck about protecting women. The exact same can be said on the right, they bang on all day about keeping women and children safe but most are welcoming Trump to Ireland, support Macgregor and generally only care when the preparator is a migrant or on the left.

The question is violence or sexual misconduct against women overlooked depending on what the political beliefs are of the perpetrator and in reality society doesn't seem to care as long as they can use it to score political points?
