Changing hair texture, keratin treatment experiences, and temporarily moving
Hello,
This is a pretty loaded post with lots of factors, but growing up my hair used to be super coarse and rough. I assumed that was just my hair texture, but I can look back and see I perhaps didn’t have the tools to properly take care of my hair. Now i do and use a combo of moisturizing products and have the correct combs.
But during this journey of finding the right products, I was getting keratin treatments which made my hair texture more curly rather than coily.
Later this year i’ll be moving from Los Angeles (pretty dry climate) to Scotland (pretty humid) and was wondering if anyone has any insight on what that change in climate can do to our hair? Do you think it’s worth it to get a keratin treatment again, or should I trust the moisturizing routine i’ve set for myself? Does anyone have insight or experience on getting off of keratin treatments ?
Many questions but any insights is much appreciated!
