How can I find a tutor who actually attends the lesson?
I had a great tutor and we had a lot of lessons together, but she went on maternity leave.
It’s really important to me to have 2 lessons per week in the morning, because I’m busy (as any adult), and I have other tasks and meetings later. I don’t want to skip lessons.
I’m trying to find a new tutor. The first one I booked canceled the lesson before 30 minutes, because she was sick.
Then I booked another tutor. I booked two lessons immediately, because I want to stick to my plan to get 2 lessons per week, and any other appointment wouldn’t work for me.
She also canceled before 30 minutes. If she would cancel the day before, I would have the chance to book another tutor, but with this she wasted my time. Then I canceled the next lesson with her, because I needed a stable tutor.
Then I found a new tutor again, we had around 6 lessons together. Then she didn’t attend my lesson, because (as we discussed later) she had to pick up her kid from kindergarten.
I chose tutors with a 99% attendance rate and it still happens.
I can understand people can get sick sometimes, but every tutor?! I’m starting to think they are just lying, because they didn’t feel like teaching a lesson that day.
I booked both expensive and cheap tutors as well.
I’m really disheartened, because if I book and pay for a lesson, I want to attend. Skipping a lesson or reschedule to another time is not working for me.
I’m not sure if it's allowed, but can you please recommend me a reliable tutor?
I’m a woman, and I’m looking for a woman with a neutral or American English accent.
