Play P4G now or wait for P4R?

Big dilemma, I honestly don't know what ro do. I'm excited to play this game and I know P4G is a classic but if it completely gets overshadowed by P4R I don't want to commit to a long RPG only to have to beat it again in a superior version.

What are your thoughts? Do you think P4G will still be the definitive version to play?
