Is Bitget Wallet among the best ways to pay with crypto at local merchants in Latin America using QR codes?
I'm planning a trip through Latin America later this year, and one thing I've been trying to figure out is how practical crypto payments actually are outside of exchanges.
While looking into different wallets, I came across **Bitget Wallet**, which made me curious about how it compares to what people actually use on the ground.
I've seen a lot of videos of people scanning QR codes to buy coffee, groceries, or even pay for a taxi, and it all looks seamless. But social media can sometimes make things look too good to be true.
What I'm really curious about is what happens in everyday situations.
Do most merchants accept stablecoins, or are they expecting Bitcoin? Is there a preferred wallet that locals actually use? How fast are payments when there's a line behind you? And are there hidden fees or network issues that become annoying after a while?
I'd especially appreciate feedback from people living in any Latin American country, since my trip may include Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, or El Salvador.
The idea of simply scanning a QR code instead of worrying about currency exchange rates sounds great, but I'd rather hear from people who've actually lived it than from polished YouTube videos.
For those who've done it, what's one thing you wish you'd known before trying to pay with crypto at local merchants using QR codes?
