Why do I have two voices
I miss being able to see the old you.
Then you try seeing what our mind shows me.
I swear it wasn’t that long ago.
A smile showed on your face.
I swear it wasn’t that long ago we felt other emotions besides sadness.
Why are there so many tears?
Just grab a tissue and wipe them away.
I don’t want to keep watching you betray yourself.
I tried to stop them, but I didn’t know it would hurt us this badly.
All the moments you never stood up for yourself.
Don’t beat yourself up. You can’t control other people’s actions.
Get off the floor.
No, I don’t want to. I feel too heavy from all the pain.
Stop feeling so sad the moment you open your eyes.
I’m sorry. I don’t even want to wake up anyway.
Stop looking at the clock, thinking the time is going faster.
Why? I don’t want to deal with today.
I know death feels like peace, and the vision of no one at your funeral brings pain.
Of course people will be at your funeral. The only person who doesn’t love you is me.
You need to eat something. You’re getting so weak.
We both know I don’t eat when I’m sad.
You’re no longer spending more time on your feet.
Yeah… the floor’s more comfortable, and the sound of the floorboards makes my mind less loud.
Stop hitting your head.
And putting a knife to your throat.
Why stop me? We’d both be at peace.
Depression only lasts this long because it’s no longer just an emotion.
It’s an addiction you find peace from.
If we know this, how do I stop it?
Stop looking at yourself like you’re the problem.
You’re the only solution to the pain.
That’s funny, because last time I checked, you put the knife down… and the next day wasn’t any better.
Yeah…
Well, we’re still alive, aren’t we?
