What's one home decor purchase you wish you'd thought about longer?

I'm slowly updating my living room, and I've realized it's surprisingly easy to buy something because it looks great online.

A few months later, you notice it doesn't quite fit your space, it's harder to maintain than expected, or you simply stop loving it.

I've been looking at furniture and decor from Gallerie recently, so I'm trying to slow myself down before buying anything.

What's one purchase you ended up regretting or one that turned out to be even better than you expected?

I'd rather learn from other people's mistakes than make all of them myself.
