Why aren’t California Republicans trying to purchase voter information?
In the state of CA, people can purchase voter registration information for various purposes under the laws, some of which being political, journalistic, and scholarly. There is a massive push to radically alter voting laws from Republicans in the state, with failed candidate Chad Bianco obtaining a warrant for tens of thousands of ballots to see if they were tampered with, and a substantial portion of Republicans advocating for the Voter ID ballot proposition. Given that Steve Hilton or another Republican could file an application to obtain this information to demonstrate voter fraud/inaccuracy and crowdfund to do this, why hasn’t a California Republican tried to apply for the voter records?
