Moving from a tier 3 city in South India to Pune for my first job.

Ik there are better subs to ask these questions, but this sub seems the most trustable so posting it here.

I'm 22, moving to Pune for my first full time job. I am both nervous and excited. I have some experience living in different states. I've lived in Calicut for a month and mysore for 6. But, this is my first time going to the north and also to a developed tier 1 city. So please help me with a few questions.

My office is in Hinjewadi. Phase 3 to be specific.

1. I've heard that Phase 3 doesn't have good living options and nearest areas like phase 1, laxmi chowk, shivaji chowk, marunji etc are better. Which one of these is a better option having good transport into the city, social life a bit etc?

2. If i do live in these areas, how do I manage the commute from pg to office as I have 4 days of wfo per week.

3. How safe are these areas for women? Any recommendations for pgs? How can I make sure to be safer here?

4. Other than these, how can I adjust to life here? I want to explore the city, but I'm still new to the culture.

5. Any tips on how to make do with average freshers salary in the city?

6. Any other suggestions, advice or info u feel like I need to know?
