Analysis: Aesop Rock - "Bent Life"

"With no alibi love is used as a guide by the civilized Some see it as the body heat you feel when you close your eyes"

• Aesop Rock, Bent Life (Released: September 18, 2001)

Genius Annotation:

An alibi is usually a legal claim that you weren’t there

C-Rayz could be referring to love, which is often said to be God, as having no alibi because it is omni-present. The “civilised” know this, and therefore don’t perform acts of cruelty on one another.
