So I’ve been playing apex since the start , almost 5k hours , never really tried to compete in ranked (always off and on ) until this season , I know this is going to sound dumb , but I’ve been trying to get to diamond this season , I got all the way to plat 1 , and today I just wanted to get to diamond before the split/reset , I made it clear to my woman , on multiple occasions, that I wanted to do this today , and I have to be up early for work / parole tomorrow , so now I’m out of time to grind ranked because she wanted to all of the sudden watch ALL of the marvel movies ( we are currently still watching as I’m typing this ) and truthfully it’s frustrating, we have watched all the Harry Potter movies , I drop anything I’m doing 99% of the time if it means we can spend time together , but when I want to dedicate time to this one hobby of mine , it’s like I can’t get her to support me in it , or even just watch me play , so I guess my question is how do I get her to be supportive in those moments? It’s like the one thing I like to do to relax , and she always has attitude when I hop on the game so I don’t , which is honestly why I didn’t get to Diamond earlier because I just choose not to play if it’s making her happy , but at the cost of my own . I’ve tried teaching her the game or even other games on my Xbox and to no avail , I show interest in all of her hobbies , and it seems she can’t be bothered in mine , or just “rolls her eyes” at my hobby . I workout , I make money at my job , I do all of these things , and just once I want her to be happy for me when I rank up or I show her a cool play , any advice is appreciated. Or just take it as a rant , thanks for reading if you made it this far 🤝
