live career mode with edited teams ?/ classic kits

is it possible to play live career mode with edited squads?

when I start the mode it downloads the latest squads which I don't want. I want to play the full career mode in challenges as it's the only way to play with the classic kits. so stupid they are not in regular career mode

and are classic kits really only availble for your own team?
