HSBC Premier Salary Account

I contacted my RM for upgradation to Premier but he told me while I am eligible, I will lose my '5% cashback' debit card because the new organisation is not registered with HSBC and their some kind of 'code' doesn't apply.

I am confused - I thought premier salary account is standalone enough to get that 5% dc and premier CC. How should I deal with this? I have told him to proceed anyway...
