Quviviq review

I often search this sub for advice on insomnia treatment so thought I’d contribute a bit myself too.

I had high hopes for Quviviq as it’s supposed to be a more modern, targeted treatment for insomnia than things like sedating antidepressants but unfortunately it turned out to be an expensive gimmick, for me at least.

Gave me awful nightmares, l’d always wake up after 2-3 hours unable to get back to sleep. Tried halving the dose to 25mg but that wasn’t any better. I’ve seen reviews saying to give it time and it works best after a few weeks but that certainly hasn’t been the case with me.

The only thing it’s quite good at is putting you to sleep but you need to take it on a completely empty stomach for that to work, which isn’t ideal for me as I often have my dinner quite late.

I’ll probably end up going back to Mirtazapine which isn’t an ideal drug but at least lets me sleep through the night without all these crazy side effects.
