Sometimes "self improvement" is just admitting you can't fix everything yourself

My Achievement

tbh I am so sick of the productivity podcasts telling us to just cold plunge and journal our way out of actual life crises

like, what happens when the problem isn't a lack of discipline, but a literal mental health or addiction emergency in your family? The whole "grindset" culture makes you feel like a total failure if you aren't optimizing your morning routine, even when your personal life is actively on fire

yesterday I completely abandoned my daily habit tracker. I was just spiraling, trying to find out how long is rehab in NJ and dealing with the absolute maze of our healthcare system. Honestly it feels like its designed to make you lose your mind. I ended up just obsessively reading through the clinical team bios at rolling hills recovery center just to remind myself that actual trained humans exist to handle this stuff, and I don't have to be the sole savior for everyone around me

We really gotta stop treating serious life struggles like they are just a mindset issue. Sometimes the best way to improve is just dropping a heavy weight you were never meant to carry in the first place. idk. just needed to get that out there today
