Does anyone know if there's a way to tour any of the maintenance shops?

I've always been extremely interested in how Metro keeps its trains running, I work in maintenance in aviation and would love to see how the two forms of transportation compare in maintenance terms. Does anyone know if Metro or Metrolink offers tours?
