Can’t create a new line in a Notion table cell

I’m using Notion on Mac and I can’t create a new line inside a table cell.

Pressing Shift + Enter doesn’t insert a line break. Instead, it finishes editing and moves me to the next cell.

I’ve also tried other key combinations, but nothing works.

Is this expected behavior, or is there a setting I need to change?
