Ablation
I am a 62 year old female that had an accident over 30 years ago ice skating with my family on the Lake Erie shores. I came down on the ice extremely hard and my husband said he heard and felt the ice Crack. I didn't do anything about it as I was a young mom trying to start our family out. Well, about 15 years ago I started experiencing a lot of pain, the type that doesn't go away. That deep toothache pain that will drive you insane. Ya, that pain. For years have been trying to get someone to help me relieve this pain. After 5 bouts of physical therapy, I finally got a therapist that helped me. Most of the exercises are yoga based so a little easier to remember. But I finally got to a doctor that is going to do ablation on my back. I had the nerve blocks, 2 of them and now I get the first ablation on my right side. Then they will do my left side. I don't know what to expect. I mean I have looked the procedure up but I still don't know what to expect, like after.
I would like to know if your pain stops right away or does it take time.
I would like to know how I will feel after, like can I go to work after.
I would like to know if they put you out for the procedure or no. And if they didn't, like can you watch them doing it.
I would also like to know why they are doing the right side (they asked me which side I wanted to start with) and not both since they are already in there.
I would also like to know why she didn't do nerve blocks on my SI joint (sacrum area) by my nerve root, a hexx of a lot of pain comes from this area. She said if this doesn't work she will do that area? I assumed they would go in see all that I needed and do it all at the same time. I see I assumed wrong. Does anyone know the reasoning. I'm scared but excited at the same time. I do not take opiates because of the games between the doc office and the pharmacy. I went twice over a week without and both times went into withdrawals. I take kratom. But I now take the 7oh. And it is bad, really bad. I have to get off, I hate the shxt!!!!!!! I would tell everyone to stay off that. How fast you can run up on the milligrams. Lol I tell ya I'm 62 and have no desire to get "high". I just need this pain to stop. Can someone help me answer some of my questions. Please and thanks!!ππ
