Ji-a: "Sae-hyun... Can i tell you something?"

Sae-hyun: "Ugh... Does it involve with your childhood friend again?"

Ji-a: "... I.."

Sae-hyun: "It's been a year and a half now. After all that rumor stuff about him and especially you abandoning him for Shi-hoon--"

Ji-a: "Let's not... let's not talk about Shi-hoon right now."

Sae-hyun: "Oh yeah. you know. it makes me laugh a bit, that he swore to be yours only to fuck someone else then call it quits with you. I heard he got the other girl pregnant and got a 3 week suspension. Quite a humiliation."

Ji-a: "..."

Ji-a clenches her fists in anger.

Sae-hyun: "Ok... But, what i was trying to say is. Don't you think that he hates you already? Mi-noo that is."

Ji-a: "I know but... I just think that he's being bullied."

Sae-hyun: "Bullied?"

Ji-a: "There's this girl that has been sticking close to him lately, and instead of improving, he's been getting more and more gloomier. After the incident with Seo-ah and the next girl after her, This short haired girl is more of a physical nuisance for Mi-noo..."

Sae-hyun: "Mhm?"

Ji-a: "I've seen her punch Mi-noo in the shoulder, laugh at him, wrestled him out of no where. It's like he can't focus on his studies because of her... i've personally seen his grades and they've been getting lower than usual..."

Sae-hyun: "Hmm?"

Ji-a: "She even smokes behind the campus. I just think that she's a bad influence-"

Sae-hyun stops Ji-a from walking forward, avoiding a collision with other sophomores.

"S-Sorry..!"

Sae-hyun: "You're getting distracted a lot lately, Ji-a."

Ji-a: "..."

Sae-hyun: "You're clearly not studying well yourself. Heck. You look like you haven't slept at all."

Ji-a: "That's..."

Sae-hyun: "Bullshit. Ji-a. I mean this in the absolute truest way i could say it. Move on from Mi-noo and move on from that bastard, Shi-hoon already. Seriously that guy can't keep his penis to himself."

Sae-hyun growls.

Ji-a: "Alright..."

Sae-hyun: "Why do you even want to help Mi-noo to begin with?"

Ji-a: "That's because i want to set things right with him. I really couldn't do much back then when those rumors happened but i wanna make it right."

Sae-hyun: "Are you trying to be a hero or something? Stuff like those don't work in real life."

Ji-a: "I've made up my mind."

Sae-hyun: "Let me guess... You want my help, right?"

Ji-a: "..."

Sae-hyun: "You're unconfident sometimes, Ji-a... Fine... I'll go talk to that short-haired girl that you're worried about."

Ji-a: "You know her?"

Sae-hyun: "Not quite. But i did see her with Mi-noo back then. She was pretty average looking compared to his two previous 'girlfriends.' "

Ji-a: "... Seo-ah..."

Sae-hyun: "Yep. asking one of our friends to date Mi-noo was a bad idea on your part."

Ji-a: "..."

Sae-hyun: "Welp. i'll see what i can do."

Ji-a: "Thanks a lot."

Sae-hyun: "(So annoying... As soon as Shi-hoon dumped her all she could talk about is "Where is Mi-noo" and what is he doing? jeez... All that guilt is finally catching up to her or something?)"

Meanwhile at a restaurant:

Mi-noo: "Why are you here."

Dayun: "Your dad said you worked here. Took me awhile as i'm not gifted with directions. You didn't told me you got a part time job. wew... so 'adult-like.' "

Mi-noo: "You really went to my workplace just to mess with me?"

Dayun: "Yep! Can't have a normal day without some good ol' pokin."

Dayun pokes Mi-noo's cheeks.

Mi-noo: "..."

Coworker: "A friend of yours?"

Mi-noo: "Yeah..."

Coworker: "Tell her to go order somethin and then you guys can go talk in the back. I'll cover for you."

Mi-noo: "Really?"

Coworker: "Yeah. You've been working for hours now. i'm surprised you haven't taken your break yet."

Dayun: "Oh wow\~! Ain't Mi-noo such a hardworking widdle boy!"

Dayun tries to pinch Mi-noo's cheeks but he quickly stops her.

Mi-noo: "Alright. I guess i could use a break."

Coworker: "About time that is."

Mi-noo took Dayun's order and gave her a take-out, before heading out and talking behind the restaurant.

Mi-noo just looked at the sky and sighed. He thought about what the coworker said.

Mi-noo: "(If i work and work without any rest but i'm not getting any tired. Does that mean i'm destined to land on a corporate job or something?)"

Mi-noo looked at Dayun as soon as he heard a 'clink' noise. She was lighting up a cigarette.

Dayun: "Hmm?"

Mi-noo: "..."

Dayun: "Want a puff?"

Mi-noo: "Y-You smoke..?"

Dayun: "Yeah, once a month though."

Mi-noo: "When did you start."

Dayun: "I can't remember. i just think it looked cool and it feels refreshing i guess?"

Mi-noo: "People who have heavy problems use that. I can't see you using it at all. You're always happy..."

Dayun: "You're saying like it's a bad thing-"

Mi-noo: "It is a bad thing."

Dayun: "How???"

Mi-noo: "It can kill you... gradually."

Dayun: "IT CAN KILL YOU!???"

Mi-noo: "Yeah... But only if you don't smoke often."

Dayun: "Damn... So these things kills you, huh?"

Mi-noo: "..."

Dayun: "..."

Mi-noo: "..."

Dayun: "Want a puff-"

Mi-noo: "No."

Dayun: "Why not?"

Mi-noo: "I just don't want to. I'm not in the mood to cough."

Dayun: "Just a puff?"

Mi-noo: "..."

Dayun: "..."

Mi-noo: "..."

Dayun: "Want a puff-"

Mi-noo: "Break done. I'm heading back inside."

Dayun: "That's too fast!"

BONUS:

Later at night:

Both Mi-noo and Dayun were on a mattress inside their campus apartment.

Dayun noticed that Mi-noo couldn't sleep as well.

Dayun: "Hey. When do you think they'll buy us a new double deck bed? The campus should provide for us, eh?"

Mi-noo: "That is if you don't slip up the fact that you wrecked it."

Dayun: "Ohhh..."

Mi-noo: "..."

Dayun: "..."

Mi-noo: "Why are you staring at me."

Dayun: "Still thinking about my smoking habit?"

Mi-noo: "No. I just can't sleep."

Dayun: "... Alright- ah... Say.. I've got this... philosophical thing that i've been thinking for a while. Wanna hear it?"

Mi-noo: "You? Philosophical? Really?"

Dayun: "Yep."

Mi-noo: "..."

Mi-noo looked at the ceiling.

Mi-noo: "Sure. Explain away."

Dayun: "If you believe in the principle of indirect kissing. Wouldn't that make every boys in the world gay?"

Mi-noo: "Huh???"

Dayun: "Think about it. Every kid drinks from their mama's milk, but whose mouth got there first?"

Mi-noo: "That's--"

Mi-noo quickly realized and was taken aback.

Mi-noo: "Dad..? No... That doesn't count-"

Dayun: "If you date someone who had already dated another person before. Have you theoretically indirectly kissed them too?"

Mi-noo: "..."

Dayun: "AND!"

Mi-noo: "..!"

Dayun: "We all came from our dads, right?"

Mi-noo: "Yeah..?"

Dayun made a giant evil grin.

Dayun: "Basically every girl you look at, fall for, and had kissed. They came from a man."

Mi-noo: "..."

Dayun: "Goodnight! That'll be all! Hmm!"

Dayun smiled as she snuggled againts the mattress, sleeping soundly.

As for Mi-noo. He couldn't sleep that night.
