Affordable solo trips?

I'm Canadian and in desperate need of vacation. I'm hoping to spend under $3-4k but I would like to see part of the country I've never seen before and do something relaxing. I'd really like to be in/close to nature, but I don't drive.

I looked a little bit into some tours in Whitehorse and Yellowknife to look at the Aurora - something like that.

Looking for somewhere to get away from it all. I'm from southern Ontario.
