New job

Celebratory

I started a new job last week and since I’m pre-t but relatively androgynous people have been getting confused on my gender. If they ask I’ll tell them I’m a guy or use he/him (depending on how the question is phrased). I’m like on the cusp of passing at this point honestly and my legal name is incredibly gender neutral too. So if I mention I’m a guy people don’t really question it.

Now the funny part is I mentioned to a coworker (who has asked my pronouns) than I have a boyfriend and she seemed surprised and said “you have a boyfriend?” Like ma’am I don’t exactly scream heterosexual but the assumption made me so oddly euphoric.

A guy who usually works with/talks to my mom and has known I’m afab for awhile before I started working there was talking to me and said “your [my moms name]’s son- eh daughter right?” Like sir you were right the first time but I’m just too nervous to correct you lmfao.

I’m writing this on my break actually because it’s been stuck in my head and so entertaining to me
