Intel vs Amd? Who wins?!?!
So I am building server to run my stack. I'm running a basic media stack right now, which includes jellyfin tdarr, jellybean, radar, sonar, qbit, gluten, flaresolver and a few others. I do want to add a LLM. And pi hole and unbound.
And I'm really dead between the Intel 7 ultra k or
The new AMD 9.
Basically, they're the two newest chips on the market, and a part of me is leaning for intel because it does have a graphics card to handle some of the transcode on the chip. And i'm not really a gamer, the only reason I would install graphics card is to run the llm.
Oh, so i'm currently running everything off laptop, which has an intel i7 p
This could be complete overkill, but I'm also not too sure. My laptop is currently struggling heavily to handle this current load. And that's not even including the ai.
So a big part of me wants to stick with Intel because of the graphics card. On the chip, which can help handling the transcoding and jellyfin and tdarr. And to be able to handle streaming up to about ten clients without struggling.
Also, rumor has it a new mid range GPU may come out soon with 16 gb of drama.
Anyways thoughts ?
